KV2 Audio Amplifiers are concerned with providing the highest possible quality in electronic amplification, based around purpose built circuitry and utilising application specific topologies. They offer the lowest distortion levels and the fastest settling times, perfect to drive and control the KV2 Audio range of passive and active driven loudspeaker units, whilst achieving greater definition and increased dynamic response.
The amps are presented in two and four unit-standard rackmount chassis, in two and four channel models, featuring bespoke circuit design, hand wound toroidal transformers, amplifier and loudspeaker protection along with options for remote system monitoring and control.

Unlike general-purpose amplifiers overloaded with features and digital processing, KV2 amplifiers are purpose-built, high-performance instruments of audio reproduction. Every circuit, component, and topology is optimized for one goal: absolute sonic clarity, precision timing, and unmatched dynamic response.
Modern audio discussions often focus on frequency response and power. But sound is not just about pitch and volume—time is an equally critical factor. Human hearing is capable of detecting time differences as small as 5 microseconds, and KV2’s amplification systems are specifically engineered to preserve this temporal detail.
Using ultra-fast slew rates and exceptionally short settling times, our amplifiers accurately reproduce the leading edge of every transient. This means tighter bass, crisper highs, and a vivid stereo image. Unlike traditional designs, KV2’s electronics do not smear, change, or soften the signal—they disappear, leaving only the original content, perfectly intact.
Where many manufacturers rely on traditional THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) numbers derived from static test tones and FFT calculations, KV2 goes further. Our amplifiers are evaluated using a proprietary methodology called True Total Distortion, which directly compares the input to the output of an amplifier. This more honest approach reveals all distortive elements or changes—including intermodulation, circuit ringing, and temporal inaccuracies—with resolutions down to 2 microseconds.
Using these more relevant measuring techniques, most amplifiers claiming <0.05% THD may actually produce over 10% distortion (or change) to the signal passing through, when analysed under dynamic, real-world conditions. KV2 amplifiers typically measure at just 0.1% True Total Distortion, even under full-bandwidth program material.
We do not believe in one-size-fits-all. KV2 designs specific amplifier classes and circuits optimized for each frequency band:
- High Frequencies: Class A/B push-pull with transformer-balanced outputs for the cleanest and most natural top-end.
- Midrange: Class A/B with MOSFET output stages for warmth, accuracy, and fast recovery.
- Low Frequencies: Custom-designed Class G topology capable of delivering extreme current for improved damping and deep, controlled bass.
Each amplifier module is gain-matched to clip at exactly the same time across bands, ensuring a coherent dynamic response at all levels—from a whisper to a thunder.
Unlike typical amplifier-loudspeaker combinations that require DSP to fix phase issues, timing errors or frequency anomalies, KV2 builds systems that require little correction. Our speakers and amplifiers are developed as one complete ecosystem, virtually eliminating the need to add many additional layers of latency-inducing digital filters—the system is inherently right and even in complex set ups offers close to zero latency.
KV2 uses Pulse Density Modulation (PDM) at over 20 MHz sample rate for applications where digital delay is necessary—like aligning multiple speaker enclosures or drivers. This is more than 100x the resolution of CD audio, allowing us to delay signals without sacrificing fidelity.
