De VHA406A is FBT’s oplossing voor krachtige en veelzijdige horizontale en verticale line arrays. Met mogelijke uitbreidingen in het laag in de vorm van 12″- en 18″-subwoofers (VHA112SA en VHA118SA) is de fullrange VHA406A het perfecte uitgangspunt voor een systeem dat in élke situatie kan worden ingezet. Hij is ontworpen voor toepassing in veeleisende toursituaties en in vaste, heavy duty-installaties.
WAVEGUIDE
Door de geavanceerde, specifiek ontworpen waveguide heeft de VHA4016A actieve luidsprekerkast een spreiding van 90° horizontaal en 20° verticaal. Het resultaat is een kast met een uitgebalanceerd, symmetrisch afstraalpatroon over het volledige frequentiebereik (65Hz – 20kHz) en wanneer meerdere kasten worden gecombineerd levert dat zelfs boven 18kHz een coherent geluidsbeeld op. De kasten kunnen kinderlijk eenvoudig, maar buitengewoon solide aan elkaar worden gekoppeld door middel van geïntegreerde hardware. De onderlinge hoek kan dan worden gevarieerd van 5° tot 20° in stappen van 5°. Sowieso zijn alle faciliteiten voor ophanging, inclusief geïntegreerde sluitpinnen, in de kasten aangebracht. Er zijn koppelbare flying bars voor horizontale en verticale montage in verschillende configuraties.

De vier 6,5″-woofers en de 1,4″-compressie driver (met 2,5″-spreekspoel) worden aangestuurd door klasse-D-versterkers met schakelende voeding van respectievelijk 600W (LF) en 300W (HF); goed voor een SPL van 133dB. Voor de aansturing van de speaker units en voor gecombineerd gebruik met de andere producten is er een DSP-processor ingebouwd met acht presets zodat de eigenschappen afhankelijk van de situatie/configuratie op maat kunnen worden ingesteld.

406A provides a wide range of accessories for suspension, pole-mounting or ground-stacking. The front of the loudspeaker is
covered with a powder coated perforated steel grille. Available a rain cover that protects the electronic parts from the rain.
