Offering a powerful output of up to 16,000 lumens, the ADJ Protégé XM is a professional-grade LED-powered moving head spot designed to provide lighting designers with exceptional brightness, versatility, and creative potential from a relatively compact fixture. At its core is a 350-watt white LED engine with a native colour temperature of 8000K, producing an intense, punchy beam that cuts through in even the most demanding environments. Its precision-engineered optics deliver stunning visual clarity and crisp projections, while a motorized zoom ranging from 3.8° to 44° allows seamless transitions between tight beams and a wide spot.

The Protégé XM’s advanced colour system includes disc-based CMY colour mixing, complemented by two colour wheels, each loaded with nine vibrant dichroic filters, including a 2700K CTO filter for warm white output. Creative flexibility is enhanced further through dual rotating GOBO wheels – each featuring seven high-definition, replaceable glass GOBOs—allowing for intricate layered textures and dynamic mid-air effects. Its extensive effects engine features dual 6-facet prisms (linear and circular), which can be overlaid for complex refraction patterns, as well as two variable frost filters for smooth diffusion and an animation wheel for evolving motion graphics.

Robust pan/tilt locks, 360° continuous pan rotation, and 3-phase motors ensure easy transport as well as smooth, precise, and lightning-fast movement. Built to succeed ADJ’s popular Focus Spot 6Z, the Protégé XM sets a new benchmark for compact, high-output LED spot fixtures – ideal for medium-sized stages, venues, houses of worship, and event productions demanding both power and finesse.

Engineered for professional environments, the Protégé XM offers a full suite of modern control and connectivity options. It features both 5-pin DMX and RJ45 input and thru sockets with support for the sACN and Art-Net network protocols. It also offers integrated Aria X2 next generation wireless technology that offers both cable free DMX control and NFC-enabled remote fixture management with OTA firmware updates for quick configuration.
